Winnipeg police file charges in shooting of Winnipeg teenager

Winnipeg police have arrested a third suspect in the murder of a 16-year-old boy earlier this month.

Devin Allan Joseph Evans, of Winnipeg, was arrested without incident Monday near Elgin Street and Isabel Street on a second-degree murder warrant issued by the Justice of Manitoba, officers said.

The 18-year-old young man was detained.

Arrest related With a murder investigation dating back to October 5th.

Police were called to the 500 block of Boyd Avenue just after 6 a.m. for a report of a gunshot.

There they found a 16-year-old boy suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds.

The person who was hospitalized in critical condition died

His family was informed.

Police also arrested two 15-year-old boys from Winnipeg without incident on Oct. 23 in the 300 block of Dufferin Avenue on charges of second-degree murder.

None of the charges have been tested in court.
