Stearns County Explorers Earn Silver in Burglary Intervention Drill at State Conference

(KNSI) – The Stearns County Sheriff’s Law Enforcement Explorer Post took second place at this year’s Duluth Law Enforcement Conference.

Teams; It was evaluated in 10 different categories, including arrest and search, theft, crime scene search, domestic crisis intervention, field first aid, street decisions, traffic accident investigation, traffic stop, job interview and the all-encompassing “unknown problem” scenario. .

The Explorers group is for high school and college students preparing for a possible career in policing. The competition is limited to 40 teams statewide. Stearns County placed second in burglary response.

The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office writes on Facebook that it is “extremely proud” of the young men and women who represent it in the Explorer program.
