Ford makes car personalization easier with its Custom Garage program

Ford will use this 2024 SEMA show next week in Las Vegas will launch Ford Custom Garage, a program designed to make it easy to add upgrades to a new Ford truck or SUV.

The program groups various upgrades into packages that can be ordered with a single part number at the time of vehicle purchase. Upgrades can cover everything wheel designs, graphics packages, suspension upgrades and powertrain tuning.

All packages retain Ford’s new vehicle warranty, and vehicles, including vehicles with performance upgrades, can still be serviced at any Ford dealership.

some packages will be available for a limited time onlyThis may cause some vehicles equipped with them to become collectible over time. Ford said it wants to keep the packages fresh and make sure there aren’t too many vehicles with the same specification.

The first two packs are currently available for order and include the Matte Black and Sinister Bronze packs. They are designed for the Bronco and include a 2.0-inch suspension lift kit, unique 17-inch wheels with black lug nuts, unique badging detailing (depending on package), extended fender flares, an updated spare tire carrier, and a Ford Focus. Each package costs $5,200but adding the 35-inch Goodyear all-terrain tires shown here incurs extra cost.

Ford said more packages are coming soon, including for other vehicles. These will include the Dark Trail Series package for the Bronco, the Blue Free Wheeling package for the Bronco Sport, and the Blue Free Wheeling package for the Bronco Sport. FP700S package for F-150.

The FP700S package will turn the F-150 into a proper street truck, thanks to a Ford Performance supercharger upgrade for the F-150’s 5.0-liter V-8. Supercharging helps Lift output up to 700 hp. The package will be previewed at the SEMA show with the FP700S F-150 concept truck. The action starts on November 4.
