Girls’ education will solve 90% of Nigeria’s problems – Uba Michael

Chief Uba Michael, an advocate of good governance, has called for more attention to girls’ education, saying it is one of the ways out of Nigeria’s problems.

Michael said this at the 25th anniversary celebration of the Foundation for the Elimination of Trafficking and Child Labor in Abuja.

DAILY POST reported in the US Department of State’s 2024 Trafficking in Persons Report that the Nigerian government has not fully met the minimum standard to eliminate human trafficking but has made significant efforts to do so.

Chief Michael, who is the Executive Director of the UBACLE Group, called on governments at all levels to prioritize the empowerment of girls and women as this will greatly reduce the level of poverty.

He said: “I am very pleased and honored to collaborate with WOTCLEF; I recognize the organization’s enduring contributions to advocating for girls, educating and educating women, and combating human trafficking.

“I firmly believe that empowering girls through education will solve 90% of our nation’s problems. I pledge my unwavering defense of women’s rights until they achieve the status they deserve.

“I would like to sincerely commend the Honorable Mrs. Titi Atiku Abubakar for her unwavering commitment to the girl child and congratulate WOTCLEF on its 25th anniversary.”
