Look who’s back! X Verleih released a short 30-second teaser for his new movie. Lightalso known as Das Licht German. The last feature film of the famous German director Tom Tykwerfirst feature film since Hologram for King Because he has been working on the “Babylon Berlin” series for the last 8 years. The movie has a feature March 2025 Has a release date in Germany but no festival premiere yet – is expected to premiere at Sundance and/or Berlinale early next year. A family seeking new beginnings in a troubled world faces collapse while dealing with modern problems. Their lives are turned upside down by the arrival of a mysterious Syrian woman who “puts Engels’ emotional world to an unexpectedly brutal test.” I think the modern issues it deals with have to do with how xenophobic many Germans still are and how they don’t really know how to accept immigrants. Filming took place in Berlin, North Rhine-Westphalia and Kenya. Cast Lars Eidinger, Nicolette Krebitz, Elke Biesendorfer, Julius GauseAnd Elyas Eldridge. There’s not much to see in this teaser, mind you – Tykwer is returning with a new movie in 2025.

Tim (Lars Eidinger), Milena (Nicolette Krebitz), their nearly adult twins Frieda (Elke Biesendorfer) and Jon (Julius Gause), and their son Dio (Elyas Eldridge) – the Engels family, who seemingly have nothing left. to keep them together when housekeeper Farrah (Tala al Deen) enters their lives.
