Pinellas County man brought stuffed animals containing morning-after pills to meet 13-year-old girl for sex

PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — A man who brought stuffed animals and morning-after pills to a 13-year-old girl he met for sex was sentenced to 30 years in prison, according to the Department of Justice.

Tyler Colton Rock, a 26-year-old from Texas, will spend the next 30 years in federal prison followed by life probation for coercing a teenager into sexual intercourse and sending her sexually explicit content.

Rock first had an online relationship with a 13-year-old girl from Pinellas County when he was 25, authorities said.

The Justice Department said he asked the girl to send him explicit photos of himself, while she sent him several photos and videos in which he pleased her.

While he was planning to go to Florida to visit her, he said it would be “the best trip ever or he’ll end up in federal prison,” but he was excited.

Rock traveled to Florida in February 2023 to have sexual intercourse with the child.

The Justice Department said he brought condoms, morning-after pills and a bag full of stuffed animals. Rock also gave the girl marijuana before having sexual intercourse.

Rock pleaded guilty on March 1. This case was investigated by the FBI.
