Two women were shot and killed by a home intruder on Harrington Circle in Willingboro, New Jersey.

WILLINGBORO, N.J. (WPVI) — Two women were shot to death by an intruder at their home in Willingboro, New Jersey, the Burlington County District Attorney’s Office said Thursday.

Police were called to a home on Harrington Circle just after 4 a.m. Wednesday morning on a report of a burglary in progress.

When officers arrived, they found the bodies of Catherine Nunez, 33, and her mother, Marisol Nunez, 54, in an upstairs bedroom.

Both had gunshot wounds. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators believe the intruder or intruders entered the home through a first-floor window and fled before police arrived.

No arrests were made.

Investigators do not believe this was a random incident and do not pose a current danger to the community.
