Owen Sound stabbing results in charges

Owen Sound police have arrested a man accused of stabbing in what authorities are calling a case of confusion.

According to police, the suspect attacked a man he believed had stolen from him, but police said he targeted the wrong man.

They said the victim went to the police station on Friday morning to report an attack, with visible wounds on his torso.

Officers said they spotted the suspect riding his bike near the location of the alleged attack less than an hour later and took him into custody.

It was stated that a knife was found during the search in the area.

The 31-year-old suspect faces criminal charges.

Police said the victim was treated and released from the hospital.
