Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 launched very quickly in the previous Season, and this one brought the first major update with a major update. The Patch Notes contain some fixes and bug fixes, making Multiplayer Fans, Waffen-Balancing more effective and equally more interesting.

  • Updated Safehouse rewards to indicate correct Game/Mod compatibility.
  • Fixed various issues causing excessively positive or negative currency values.

Respawn tuning will be an ongoing process of capturing data, reviewing gameplay, and making measured adjustments to the live environment. Our number one goal is always to provide the safest spawn possible across all maps and game modes.

Equipment

  • Fixed an issue that caused players to automatically equip their previously used Loadout when joining ongoing matches.
  • Fixed an issue that caused players to die during the first spawn when selecting a Loadout.

Weaponry

It’s been great to see players discover and share their favorite weapon builds in the game’s first week of release. We’re monitoring both player feedback and gameplay data every day to track how the weapon meta is evolving and prepare for a massive tuning pass in Season 01.

We’ve seen discussions about the relative balance of Assault Rifles and Submachine Guns, and we’re making some early global changes to adjust their effective range. We’re narrowing the minimum damage ranges for ARs and reducing the impact of close-range headshots. SMGs receive damage range increases to increase their effectiveness at mid-range.

shotgun

We fixed an issue with shotgun Slugs last week, but we’re still working on an additional issue that was causing this attachment to perform better than intended on hip fire. Slugs are intended to offer an alternative playstyle to shotguns, swapping close-range effectiveness for better range and accuracy. We are removing the slug’s ability to one-hit the body for now and will be reconsidering the general tuning of this add-on in a future update.

    • Slug attachment’s Maximum Damage reduced from 106 to 92.

Advantages

  • Expedition Combat Specialization
    • Reduced the duration of enemies being highlighted after respawning from 2 seconds to 1.5 seconds. An additional discount will come before Season 01.
    • Resolved an issue that allowed players to activate Recon Combat Specialty by changing Loadouts.
  • dispatcher
    • Increased Dispatcher Perk point cost for UAV from 500 to 550.
    • Increased Dispatcher Perk point cost for opposing UAV from 550 to 600.

As we move into Season 1, we continue to monitor data and feedback regarding Perks and Combat Specializations in Multiplayer. Currently, Enforcer is the most popular Combat Specialization, with Recon coming in second. It’s not just about the data, as your feedback is a critical part of how we approach tuning the live game. However, we are making some spot adjustments today as we continue to take a holistic look at our Perks and Combat Specializations as we move forward.

    • Reduced the duration of the Flashbang Tactical screen effect by 20%.

Score Streaks

  • Increased the health of the UAV and Counter-UAV (rockets to destroy remain unchanged).
  • Increased Napalm Strike initial blast radius.
  • Reduced initial input lag of LDBR.
  • Increased the flight speed of the Strategic Bomber.
  • Interceptors’ point cost reduced from 1250 to 1150.

Movement Updates

  • Adjusted stance change wait times to reduce the effectiveness of repeated prone standing (under-curling).

XP Earning Rates

  • Adjusted Player XP and Weapon XP gain rates for most modes to ensure players are rewarded for their match performance as expected wherever they play. These changes include:
    • Increased Weapon XP gain rates for most modes
    • Increased Player XP earning rates for the following modes:
      • Team Deathmatch
      • Control
      • Search and Destroy
      • armed conflict
    • Slight decrease in Player XP and Weapon XP earned in confrontation modes

  • Appropriate Perks will now be displayed when viewing the featured player during Best Play.

    • When activating HARP Scorestreak, the minimap will now show the correct direction of enemies.
    • Using the “Remove” hotkey will now make Gunsmith properly remove cosmetics.
    • Fixed an issue where incorrect player levels were displayed during Killcam, Best Play and Scoreboard.
    • Weapon Level Up Reward Cards in the After Action Report will now properly display XP reward information.

Known Issues

  • gunsmith
    • We are investigating an issue where any equipped Optical attachments will be removed when accessing Weapon Master in the Main Menus.
      • Players will not notice this issue if they enter the Gunsmith during the match.
      • Players can equip Optical attachments, but will need to re-equip them when they enter the Gunsmith in the Main Menu to set attachments or customizations.
        • In cases where an Optic is locked and equipped via a Blueprint, players will need to re-apply the Blueprint to obtain the Optic.

ZOMBIES

  • GobbleGum names will now properly update when switching between tier tabs.
