Electric scooter rider dies after being hit by school bus in Philadelphia’s Olney neighborhood: Police

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) — One person died in a crash involving a school bus in Philadelphia’s Olney neighborhood on Tuesday.

The incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. near West Nedro Boulevard and North 2nd Street.

According to police, a school bus crashed into an electric scooter. It was determined that the scooter driver died at the scene.

There is no explanation yet as to what caused the accident. Authorities did not identify the victim.

Police also did not say whether there were any students or passengers on the bus at the time of the accident.
