Six men, aged between 25 and 50, were charged in court on November 4, 2024, on suspicion of their involvement in separate harassment cases.

It was alleged that one of them, a 41-year-old, harassed a 13-year-old girl on April 24, 2024.

The incident allegedly took place in the lobby of a hotel on Temasek Boulevard.

The defendant was arrested later the same day after police identified him through follow-up investigations.

He was accused of insulting the chastity of a person under the age of 14.

Allegation that 50-year-old woman was harassed on the bus and misused her EZ-link card

In another case that took place on June 13, 2024, a 50-year-old man allegedly harassed a 33-year-old woman on a public bus.

With the help of follow-up investigations and footage from police cameras, he was identified and subsequently arrested.

Police investigations also revealed that he had allegedly misused his Ez-Link card in a separate incident.

He was charged with one count of insulting modesty and one count of dishonest misappropriation of movable property.

The remaining four men harassed women aged 26-46

The men involved in the other four cases allegedly harassed women aged 26 to 46.

On August 24, 2024, a 33-year-old man allegedly harassed a 26-year-old woman at a club on Bayfront Boulevard, while on July 27, a 38-year-old man allegedly harassed a 32-year-old woman. Old lady at a cafe on Jurong Gateway Road.

Also on July 4, a 25-year-old man allegedly harassed a 46-year-old woman on South Bridge Road.

3 people were detained at the scene by the police teams who intervened in the incident.

In the remaining case, a 35-year-old man allegedly harassed a 43-year-old woman at a coffeehouse at Hougang Avenue 10 on January 18, 2024, and was subsequently arrested.

All four were accused of insulting modesty.

The crime of outraging the chastity of a person under 14 years of age carries a prison sentence of up to five years, a fine, caning or any combination of these penalties.

The crime of insolvency carries a prison sentence of up to three years, a fine, caning or any combination of these penalties.

Meanwhile, the crime of wrongful misappropriation of property carries a penalty of up to two years in prison, a fine, or both.
