One person killed in house fire in Wasaga Beach

Area OPP and Office of the Fire Marshal (OFM) are investigating a fatal fire that occurred last night in Wasaga Beach.

According to Huronia West OPP, the fire was reported at 6:15 p.m. on Nov. 5. One person was pronounced dead at the scene.

The fire at the house on Dunkerron Avenue was not considered suspicious, but police and OFM investigate all fatal fires.

“The investigation is ongoing. Residents in the area should expect police and emergency services to remain present throughout the day,” the news release said. The statement is included.
