A married man in China managed to maintain relationships with four other women living in the same housing complex. It is even remarkable that one of these women lives in the same building with her husband.

This secret arrangement lasted more than four years and neither of the women discovered the other’s existence, creating consternation on Chinese social media.

The man, whose age was not disclosed and goes by the pseudonym Xiaojun, comes from China’s northeastern Jilin province. He came from a financially disadvantaged background and had dropped out of secondary school.

However, he created the persona of “rich second generation” and managed to successfully impress his wife Xiaojia.

Although his mother worked as a bathhouse attendant and his father juggled part-time jobs on construction sites, Xiaojun claimed that his parents were successful businessmen and often purchased fake luxury items online as gifts for his future wife.

They registered their marriage shortly after Xiaojia became pregnant.
