A woman in her 20s was raped by a stranger in an alley near a primary school.

She allegedly pulled into the lane leading to a south London park just minutes after meeting the man at 4pm.

A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of rape and remains in custody.

The alley leads to King George’s Park in Wandsworth and is located next to a nursery.

There are also tennis courts, playgrounds and football fields.

The Met Police said it was alerted to reports of a sexual assault at 4pm on Monday.

They said investigations are continuing.

“The victim, who is in her 20s, had been sexually assaulted by a man she had met before,” a spokesman said. Standard.
