Adam Fravel guilty on all charges in Madeline Kingsbury murder

Story provided by WDIO’s sister station KAAL.

Adam Fravel was convicted on November 7 of two counts of 1st degree murder and two counts of 2nd degree murder.

The Mankato jury reached the verdict after more than a day of deliberations.

Winona’s mother, Madeline Kingsbury, disappeared in March 2023 after dropping off her children at daycare with Fravel.

Kingsbury’s remains were eventually discovered in a culvert in rural Fillmore County in June of that year. The resort is a few miles north of Fravel’s parents’ home in Mabel.

Fravel faces life in prison for 1st degree murder.

The prosecution needed to prove that Fravel planned the murder to secure a 1st-degree murder-intentional conviction and prove that Fravel harassed Kingsbury to secure a 1st-degree murder-past domestic violence conviction.
