Baba Siddique murder case: 15th accused Sujit Singh arrested, fled to Punjab’s Ludhiana month ago

Police made the 15th arrest Baba Siddiq murder caseTwo weeks after the Maharashtra politician was shot dead outside his son Zeeshan’s office in Mumbai.

The accused, identified as Sujit Singh, is a resident of Ghatkopar in Mumbai. Police said he fled to Ludhiana in Punjab a month ago and was arrested from there on Friday. He had been hiding in his father-in-law’s house in the city for more than a month.

According to the police, Sujit Singh was the person who introduced Zeeshan Akhtar, the alleged mastermind of the murder, to the arrested accused Nitin Sapre and Ran Kanaujia, who were earlier assigned to eliminate Baba Siddique.

The police are yet to register his connection with the murder of the Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Pawar) leader. Lawrence Bishnoi gangperson who takes responsibility for the crime. Additionally, no official statement has been made yet about the cause of the murder.

However, Mumbai Police on Wednesday said Siddique Attackers were in contact with Lawrence Bishnoi’s brotherAnmol Bishnoi before killing the former Maharashtra minister.

Police said that although the reason behind the murder was unknown, the accused used multiple social media accounts to stay in touch with Anmol.

Meanwhile, on Friday, in a major operation against the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, the Delhi Police Special Cell arrested seven suspected hitmen from Punjab and other states.

Police officials confirmed that six sophisticated pistols were found. 24 live cartridges and GPS tracking devices were seized from the suspects.

Father Siddique was shot dead outside his son Zeeshan Siddique’s office on October 12 while he was bursting fireworks on the occasion of Dussehra.
