Man arrested in Webster County after threatening to kill law enforcement and judge

WEBSTER SPRINGS, W.Va (WDTV) – A Webster County man was arrested after threatening to kill multiple public officials earlier this week.

Robert Wilt, 67, of Webster Springs, is charged with threatening a terrorist act and two counts of assault, according to the Webster County Sheriff’s Department.

On Sunday, Wilt walked into the Webster County 911 Center and told two officers he was going to burn down Webster Springs and shoot them, deputies said. They said Wilt believed one of the officers was Judge Jason Davis.

Wilt also threatened to kill Tim Miller, all law enforcement officers and Judge Jason Davis, according to court documents.

Wilt is currently in the Central Regional Jail and his bond is set at $26,500.
