Lucknow: The state government on Friday claimed to have introduced significant measures to create employment, empower women and develop basic rural infrastructure. Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MNREGs).
A state government spokesperson said that in the current financial year, the state government has successfully connected 60.17 lakh rural families with employment opportunities. Commissioner for rural development GS Priyadarshi instructed the authorities to improve MGNREGS implementation while aiming to create more employment opportunities for rural communities. The spokesperson said that the MGNREGA scheme has become a powerful tool for both employment generation and overall development of rural areas in Uttar Pradesh.

This year, more than one lakh families in Uttar Pradesh achieved economic stability by getting 100 days of employment through MGNREGS. A total of 1,00,371 families were provided with a stable employment opportunity to support their livelihood and achieve financial security.
