Famous actor-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut took to Instagram to share the somber news about her grandmother’s demise. Indrani Thakur unfortunately passed away leaving the entire family in mourning. Ranaut sought prayers for her family during this difficult time.

Just a few days before his death, Thakur was cleaning his room when he suffered a debilitating cerebral palsy that left him bedridden. Ranaut recalled her grandmother’s inspirational life and her lasting impact on their family, emphasizing that her grandmother will always remain in their hearts and minds.

Ranaut highlighted her grandmother’s commitment to education and empowerment. Despite limited resources, Thakur ensured that his five children received quality education, including his daughters, who pursued successful careers after marriage; this was a rare feat at the time. Apart from her mourning process, Ranaut is also preparing for the release of her upcoming film ‘Emergency’, which focuses on Indira Gandhi’s controversial period in power.
