Investigation on Ambassador Bridge redirects traffic from US to Canada: police, CBSA

Traffic coming into Canada from the United States is being diverted to the Ambassador Bridge, Windsor police and the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA). He said Saturday.

In a post on X, formerly Twitter, police said officers were “on scene at the Ambassador Bridge for an ongoing investigation.”

Police did not provide any details about the investigation.

“Please note that traffic into Canada will be diverted to the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel for an indefinite period of time,” the post reads. The statement is included.

He added that traffic to the US is not affected at this time.

CBSA issued a brief statement, citing an incident on the bridge.

“Due to an incident with the Canada Border Services Agency, traffic into Canada has been temporarily suspended,” the statement reads.

“We expect normal operations to resume shortly.”
