Man arrested in connection with fatal stabbing in Norfolk

A man has been arrested in connection with a fatal stabbing, according to Norfolk police.

On Friday around 4 p.m., police responded to the Tinee Giant Store, a convenience store at 7101 Sewells Point Road, for a report of a stabbing.

There, officers found 35-year-old Brandon M. Rhodes with critical injuries. The Norfolk man was taken to hospital and later died.

Detectives charged 52-year-old Norfolk resident Archie L. Jones with second-degree murder.

Jones was arrested at the scene and is currently being held in the Norfolk City Jail without bail.

Police have not released any motive or additional details about the stabbing.
