When asked to recall that time, Graham’s first memory of being caught in the eye of the storm is perhaps surprising. “Honestly, you spend too much time by yourself,” she says. “Because it’s so busy, your schedule goes to this radio session, then that radio session, then you play a gig, and when all that’s done, you’re in a hotel by yourself.” Clearly a homebody who wanted normalcy, the silence that followed screaming fans suited Graham just fine. “It’s a bit, I don’t care that much. I’m good at being on my own. “But then I signed my record deal when I was 29,” he warns. “I think if I had done this when I was 19 or 21 it would have been a very different story.
