Stabbed by elderly businessman from Bengaluru

Bengaluru: A businessman has been arrested for allegedly stabbing a senior citizen following a parking dispute in West Bengaluru. According to the information obtained, police said the incident highlighted the problems caused by haphazard and illegal parking in the city. The accused, identified as Raghavendra J, was running a second-hand car dealership in front of the 70-year-old lawyer’s house.

It all started on Wednesday afternoon when the accused objected to the victim’s family parking their car in front of his office in Nagarabhavi II Phase. Reports stated that Raghavendra started harassing the victim’s daughter-in-law when she was not in court.

TOI quoted the victim’s grandson as saying: “While the fight was going on, Dalapathi, who had returned from the court, intervened. That’s when Raghavendra stabbed him.” According to the information obtained, the suspect fled the scene after attempting to kill himself.

The lawyer was admitted to the intensive care unit of a private hospital in Bengaluru and is currently under observation. After a complaint was lodged at the police station, the police arrested Raghavendra and charged him under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including Section 109 (attempt to murder).

In a separate incident, a man was stabbed to death by his underage brother-in-law in West Delhi on Thursday.

According to police, the victim was stabbed near his home in Sudama Puri. Reports revealed that the victim married a woman against his family’s wishes last year. Additionally, the victim’s father claimed that his son had many arguments with his daughter-in-law’s family. According to reports, no one filed a complaint with the police.
