New Kensington Man Faces Charges for Allegedly Threatening Neighbor with a Firearm

NEW KENSINGTON, Pa. — A New Kensington man faces multiple charges after police say he threatened his neighbor with a firearm during an argument. Jacob Recker, 26, was charged with terroristic threats, simple assault and disorderly conduct following the incident in the 200 block of Sixth Avenue.

The police intervened in the multi-tenant house upon the notice of an argument between neighbors. According to the victim, Recker was making noise and banging on the walls, which caused the victim to complain to the landlord.

Allegedly, during the confrontation, Recker approached the victim, pointed the firearm and said, “I’m not fighting anymore; I’m just shooting. According to the police report, go upstairs or I’ll shoot you.

Officers later executed a search warrant at Recker’s apartment, where they found a 9mm handgun in the living room that matched eyewitness testimony.

Recker is currently being held in the Westmoreland County Jail on $100,000 bail. The investigation continues.
