Four people charged in the 2023 murder of a 15-year-old boy in Huntsville

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — Madison County Grand Jury Charges have been filed against four people believed to be involved in the murder of a 15-year-old boy in 2023.

Court records show Latorrie Gaddis is charged with the murder and kidnapping of Ja’Marious Logan.

Along with Gaddis, Latoya Wells and Corie Wilson are also charged with Logan’s kidnapping. Dersea Cunningham is also charged with obstructing the investigation into Logan’s murder.

Logan was reported missing on September 27, 2023. At the time, HPD said Logan was last seen two days before the report.

The Huntsville Police Department said Logan’s remains were found on November 16, 2023, in Sylacauga, Alabama.

Talladega County Coroner Shaddix Murphy told News 19 the remains were found on Spearhill Road in a rural area of ​​Sylacauga. He said the remains were “badly decomposed” and were found in a makeshift grave near an abandoned house.

HPD said investigators worked for 51 days to find Logan.
