Nikola Jokic’s Latest Situation Against Denver Nuggets – Memphis Grizzlies

Nikola Jokic’s Latest Situation Against Denver Nuggets – Memphis Grizzlies

After losing to the New Orleans Pelicans, the Denver Nuggets will take the field again on Sunday against the Memphis Grizzlies. Friday’s loss to New Orleans was frustrating for the Nuggets because they were without Nikola Jokic and Aaron Gordon while the Pelicans were without Zion Williamson, Dejounte Murray, CJ McCollum, Herb Jones and other key players.

Gordon is expected to be out for several weeks with a right calf injury, but Jokic’s return timeline is less clear. Jokic, who was unexpectedly listed on the injury report against New Orleans for personal reasons, was ruled out of questionable that morning.

In a similar development, Jokic was initially listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against Memphis but has since been downgraded.

There has been no official word on what Jokic is dealing with, but a report from Altitude TV’s Katy Winge reveals that he and his family are fine.

Via Winge: “Respecting Nikola’s wishes, we will not say anything more about his personal reasons for missing tonight’s match. I can confirm that he and his family are fine and there is nothing to worry about!”

This game against Memphis will be a tough one because it is difficult for the Nuggets to win any game without Jokic while the Grizzlies are without key players including Ja Morant.
