Canyon Lights returns for another year

Canyon Lights returns for another year

The North Vancouver attraction will be lit from corner to corner with twinkling lights and seasonal treats starting November 22, with a portion of the proceeds going to the BC Professional Firefighters’ Burn Fund.

For many, the holiday season brings joy to people with the joy of giving gifts to friends, family, and other festivities.

But sometimes it literally enlightens people. Another way to make your vacation fun is to visit Capilano Suspension Bridge Park, which holds its annual Canyon Lights event starting November 22.

While millions of twinkling lights surround your corner of the park with typical holiday colors, other activities in the park will help you get into the festive spirit.

A portion of the proceeds from the applications will be donated to the BC Professional Firefighters’ Burn Fund to support fire and burn education in schools through BC and Burn Camp. The burn fund was founded in 1978 by a group of firefighters who wanted to help burn survivors beyond the emergency call. their website states.

Firefighters help support burn victims in BC and the Yukon by uplifting survivors through programs, retreats, offering accommodation to survivors and families, and improving trauma care in hospitals across the province.

New this year is a photo spot that makes a festive postcard for friends and family. With the Capilano Christmas Tree Photo Spot, people can step into a holiday scene featuring a rustic barn door backdrop with lush trees, an old red truck, and a friendly lumberjack bear, making it the perfect place for joyful memories.

The park will also feature Winter Rainforest Explorers, where staff will host a holiday market in the “stunning rainforest”. Kids can pick up a festive pass from the Treehouse at Treetops Adventure, where they can embark on a magical adventure of their own through the park to collect character stickers and create their own greeting cards.

People can also have a pleasant time with their taste buds by tasting the festive food and beverage menu in the park. Cliff House Restaurant & Bar will feature a “frost” cocktail, mulled wine, as well as special festive menu items such as braised short ribs and a dark chocolate raspberry yuletide log for dessert.

Canyon Lights will remain open until January 19, 2025. To get into the holiday spirit, people can find more information at: capbridge.com to purchase tickets in advance.
