Digital driving license card final fee in Islamabad - November 2024

Islamabad Traffic Police has launched a digital driving license card with twelve advanced security features, making forgery or tampering impossible.

The card will soon be connected to the Excise Tax, NADRA and Safe City systems, enabling better control of traffic violations.

Valid driver’s license holders in Islamabad region can apply for a digital card by paying a fee.

Digital Driving License Card Fee

In May 2024, the Islamabad administration revised the fee structure for driving licenses. The digital driving license card fee is now fixed at Rs 2,000.

Updated Driver’s License Fee Structure

The new fee structure includes increased fees for learner permits, non-professional and professional licenses. The changes aim to improve services and make traffic management easier.

Student Permit (valid for six months): 1,000 rupees (previously 349 rupees)
New Motorcycle + Car Driving License (Non-Professional): 3,000 Rupees (previously 1,800 Rupees)
Professional License (LTV and HTV): 10,000 Rupees (previously 2,100 Rupees)
Motorcycle + Professional License: 10,000 rupees
Digital Driving License Card Fee: 2,000 rupees

These updated fees went into effect following a notice from the superintendent’s office earlier this year.

The new digital driving license card initiative highlights Islamabad Traffic Police’s efforts to modernize traffic management and provide secure, fraud-proof documents for drivers.
