LVMPD is trying to identify a suspect in a stabbing that left one person dead in east Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) – One person is dead after a stabbing in east Las Vegas on Tuesday, according to the Las Vegas Metro Police Department.

Just after 11:45 a.m., officers responded to reports of a stabbing in the 5800 block of East Lake Mead and North Hollywood Boulevard.

Police teams arriving at the scene found a man beaten on the ground with blood on him. Officers later released that the man had been stabbed multiple times.

He was taken to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Homicide teams took over the investigation.

Police said they saw them fighting on a nearby sidewalk after the suspect stabbed the man multiple times.

Police are asking nearby businesses with security camera footage or witnesses to contact them with any information regarding the suspect.

The suspect is a man last seen wearing a gray hoodie and shorts. After the stabbing, he ran east from the scene.
