Oregon woman arrested over Eugene Airport bomb scare

PORTLAND, ore. (KOIN) — A Benton County woman was arrested for allegedly threatening to bomb the Eugene Airport on Nov. 20.

The Eugene Police Department received a report of a bomb threat at 3:07 p.m. Eugene Police detectives, airport officials and the University of Oregon Police Department Metro Explosive Disposal Unit responded to the threat and airport operations were temporarily suspended.

Authorities identified Aubrey Michelle High, 36, of Philomath, Oregon, as the suspect in the case and determined that no explosives were found at the airport.

“After confirmation that there were no explosives and that the call was a hoax, the airport situation returned to normal around 4:41 p.m.,” EPD said.

High was taken into custody by the Philomath Police Department and booked into the Lane County Jail on a charge of first-degree disorderly conduct.
