Central Pa. The health education program area at the center was completed

Tec Centro Lebanon, which provides bilingual workforce training renovated venue For health education programs.

Interior on the first floor of the building WEPA Empowerment Center Remodeled at 9 S. Ninth St. in Lebanon.

The project included three training classrooms for phlebotomy and medical assistance training, flexible classroom space, and a nurse aide training room. All classrooms are equipped with instructional teaching space and instructional technology.

The project also created a student recreation area where students can study and gather before and after class. The area also includes workforce staff offices.

The $500,000 project took 12 months to complete.

Twenty-seven students are currently enrolled in three programs: Certified Phlebotomy Technician, Certified Medical Assistant, and Medical Office Specialist. Programs are delivered in partnership with HACC.

The clinical sections of the three programs in the new training package will start in December.

The center is currently enrolling students in the Nurse Aide program, which will begin Jan. 6, with the second class scheduled to begin in March.

Tec Centro provides basic education and vocational training to adults in in-demand careers in the Lebanon Region. On average, the adult student pays about $100. Tec Centro Lebanon collaborates with community colleges and educational programs in the area.

Tec Centro Lebanon is part of the Tec Centro Workforce Network. Tec Centro Lebanon is the workforce development division of the WEPA Credentialing Centre.

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held on November 20.
