Police accused of ‘ignoring’ anti-Semitism to pursue ‘nonsense’

Mr Falter said: “For over a year police have ignored this situation, even sought reasons not to make arrests or bring charges against extremists targeting Jews.

“Our charity has had to work tirelessly to effectively carry out police work on their behalf, identify perpetrators and bring private cases ourselves when we cannot persuade the authorities to take action.

“Recent events show that the police have the capacity and will to act when they want, but they often devote their resources to nonsense.

“At a time when anti-Semitism is at record levels, it is outrageous that Jews have to enforce the law themselves, while those who oppose anti-Semitism face arrest and police harassment.”
