Legendary Wheel of Fortune host Chuck Woolery has died aged 83 after the TV star ‘suddenly fell ill’ at his home in Texas

LEGENDARY Wheel of Fortune and dating game host Chuck Woolery has passed away at the age of 83.

The TV star died at his home in Texas on Saturday after falling suddenly ill.

Chuck’s longtime friend and podcast host Mark Young confirmed the news.

Mark wrote on social media platform X (officially Twitter): “It is with a broken heart that I tell you that my beloved brother has recently passed away.

“Life won’t be the same without him, RIP bro.”

The circumstances surrounding Chuck’s death have not been confirmed.

However, Mark was visiting Chuck at his home and told TMZ that Chuck wasn’t feeling well and went to bed.

Chuck then returned to the room and told him he was having trouble breathing, and Mark called 911, but Chuck was unsuccessful.

Chuck is best known as the original host of Wheel of Fortune from 1975 to 1982.

Chuck is survived by his wife Kim and children Katherine, Melissa, Michael and Sean.
