Dominique Pelicot rape case: Prosecutor requested 20 years in prison

French prosecutors sought a maximum prison sentence of 20 years for Dominique Pelicot, who was accused of organizing more than 50 men to sexually abuse his wife, Gisele Pelicot.

Prosecutor Laure Chabaud told the court in Avignon in southern France on Monday that the sentence would be “long” but “not enough, given the seriousness of these acts.”

Pelicot admitted to the harassment when he testified last month.
