‘Hehe…’ says former Pasir Salak MP Tajuddin after Umno membership reinstatement

IPOH: Former Pasir Salak MP Datuk Seri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman has responded with “Hehe” to the news that the Umno supreme council has rescinded his dismissal as a party member.

This was stated in a message he sent to journalists on Tuesday, November 26, Sinar Harian reported.

“Hehe… sorry, I’m in Kuala Lumpur,” he wrote without further elaboration.

Tajuddin had been suspended for six years from September 2022 for criticizing the party and had appealed four times.

On Monday, the Umno supreme council unanimously decided to lift Tajuddin’s suspension from party membership with immediate effect.

Umno secretary-general Datuk Dr Asyraf Wajdi Dusuki reportedly stated that the decision was taken at the supreme council meeting held at the World Trade Center (WTC) Kuala Lumpur on Monday night (Nov 25).

In addition to Tajuddin, several other Umno leaders have also faced similar suspensions, including former party vice president Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein and former information chief Shahril Sufian Hamdan.
