Harris and Trump try to break deadlock in final week of 2024 US election race

Kamala Harris and Donald Trump will make a final push to break their bitter impasse in the final week of the most dramatic and divisive White House race of modern times.

Despite a series of unprecedented and historic turmoil in US elections, polls show the Democratic vice president and the Republican former president remaining neck-and-neck in the polls as Election Day, November 5, approaches.

Both will do anything to influence voters; Harris, 60, will deliver her closing remarks Tuesday at the same spot where Trump gathered his supporters to protest his 2020 election loss before the deadly attack on the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.

As the race moves toward the final stretch, the two rivals will tangle up seven battleground states where just a few thousand voters can decide who will rule the world’s largest superpower.
