Man taken into custody on felony charges in Seneca Falls after violent incident

A 46-year-old man was taken into custody on Tuesday following a domestic dispute that allegedly caused significant property damage.

Ronald A. Collins, of Seneca Falls, is accused of damaging the victim’s property, repeatedly punching a television and throwing a coffee pot during the incident. The Seneca Falls Township Police Department located Collins and arrested him without incident.

Collins was charged with criminal mischief in the third degree, a Class E Felony. The suspect, whose procedures were completed after his arrest, was transferred to the Seneca County Correctional Institution to await trial. A protection order was requested for the victim.

No injuries were reported and authorities did not release any further details about the incident. If convicted, Collins could face serious legal consequences, including prison time.
