Zimbabwe: Mr and Miss Mufakose Junior Open

Rutendo Hall in Mufakose will be a hive of activity this Saturday when it hosts the second edition of the Mr and Mrs Mufakose Junior bodybuilding and modeling competition.

Held under the theme “Say no to drugs”, the competition will see a large number of young boys and girls take to the stage to claim the title of Mr. and Mrs. Mufakose Junior 2024.

Last year, the tournament was won by Brighton Chirwa and Charlotte Mukutirwa, who continue to make a name for themselves.

Chirwa is already competing in bigger competitions, while Mukutirwa is finding major success after appearing in some videos for Killer T and Tocky Vibes. Tournament organizing secretary Lionel Mawoyo said they are looking forward to a bigger and better competition this time after learning from last year. “We are delighted to host the second edition of Mr. and Mrs. Mufakose’s junior bodybuilding and modeling competition at Rutendo Hall on Saturday. Registration has already started and we have 21 girls and 10 boys who have expressed interest.

“The aim is to promote healthy living to young people, many of whom are wasted through drugs. “We are going with the theme of ‘Say no to drugs’ and work with the community to control crime, drugs and substance. abuse “The competition is part of efforts to revitalize both the sport and the Mufakose community gym and we appeal to sponsors and well-wishers to make commitments in cash and in kind.” The city council, through the Mufakose Social Service Department, has granted us permission to use the Rutendo Hall as the venue for the competition we gave,” Mawoyo said.
