Chandigarh: Mumbai Police made a major breakthrough in a joint operation with Punjab Police, arresting Mumbai resident Sujeet Sushil Singh, wanted for the high-profile murder of Baba Siddique.

“Sujeet was involved in the murder conspiracy and was informed three days in advance by co-accused Nitin Gautan Sapre about the plan to kill Baba Siddique. He also provided logistical assistance,” DGP Punjab police Gaurav Yadav said in a post on channel X on Saturday. he said. .

Singh has been handed over to Mumbai Police for further investigation, Punjab DGP said.

Meanwhile, nine people arrested in the Baba Siddiqui murder case were produced before a court in Mumbai on Friday, which extended their police custody till October 26.
