40 people trapped in building collapse in Abuja suburb

About 40 people are believed to be trapped under the rubble of a collapsed building in Sabon Lugbe, a suburb of Abuja

According to PUNCH, the collapse occurred around 5pm on Saturday while the victims were still inside.

Videos shared on social media, especially X, show residents trying to save those trapped under the rubble.

As of this report, it was unclear whether emergency services had arrived to assist with rescue efforts.

Attempts to contact the Head of Public Relations, FCT Emergency Management Department, Nkechi Isa, were unsuccessful.
