Teen found guilty of killing 14-year-old Cleveland boy

A 17-year-old has been found guilty of multiple charges in the shooting death of Braylon Hardges, according to Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court.

The teenager was found guilty of the following charges:

  • One count of aggravated murder
  • two murders
  • Two counts of aggravated assault.

Harges, 14, was shot near East 93rd Street. and Edmunds Boulevard He was pronounced dead at University Hospitals in November 2023. News 5 reporter Kaylee Olivas spoke with Harges’ mother as the 17-year-old’s trial began earlier this week.

The convicted teen was being held in Cuyahoga County Jail on $1 million bail, according to court records.

According to Cuyahoga County Juvenile Court, the teen’s case was a mandatory bond, which means a minor’s case is automatically sent to adult court for decision without a judge first considering the facts or evidence.

His hearing is scheduled for October 31 at 10:30 am.
