Even a slow FROM clock can be a solid event.

And FROM Season 3 Episode 6 was definitely on the slower side.

With the town still reeling from Dale’s death and the last few days, you’d think this would be a day of self-reflection and recovery from depression, but days like these seem to rarely exist in a town.

The Matthews family came to town on the verge of imploding, but their time in town seemed to bond their family together in ways they never imagined because everything suddenly became bigger than them.

They had to put their grief, sorrow, and pain aside as their survival instincts took over and they had to find a way to survive this nightmare as a single unit.

When you’re scared and just trying to get through the day, you never have that much time for the little things.

But over time and as various circumstances challenged all four of them, many of the old wounds leaked again and changed again.

Tabitha’s journey to Henry and back left her feeling suspicious, too, and you can’t exactly blame her.

While you agree with the choices he made while he was “out there,” you have to admit that he was dealt a tough hand and did the best he could with the limited options available to him.

Hindsight will always be 20/20, and from the outside looking in, it’s easy to criticize or even be disappointed in Tabitha herself.

He felt like he was in a position to do something, but he didn’t. So now he’s struggling with the “what ifs” and guilt about what could have happened if he had made a series of different decisions.

Thinking this way is futile and will only cause you more pain, but it is human. Such feelings would bother anyone in his position.

I’m Jim’s biggest critic because I find him insufferable 90% of the time, but he only tried to help her in this situation. It is useless to attack someone who has done enough on his own.

But sometimes people don’t want you to tell them they didn’t mess up. They want you to be realistic with them.

Tabitha wanted his honesty, but she might also want to fight a little. Their fight turned out to be a bad thing because while they bonded before coming to town and rediscovered some of what they had lost in their marriage, they couldn’t actually work on any of their issues.

The problems masked the bigger problem.

Most likely, Jim will come back to the bait and they will apologize, but it will be a constant cycle for the Matthews family and they don’t have the time, space or strength to figure everything out right now.

They also need to focus all their efforts on Julie and Ethan, who both have their own struggles.

Out of town, they deal with their parents’ problems, and in town, they don’t have to deal with the constant pain, emotional turmoil, and threat of death, as well as hearing their parents’ late-night screaming matches.

Ethan may seem to have more problems than Julie, but he has his own problems to deal with. Tian-Chen’s death makes her very sad and I’m not sure anyone really understands that.

And it becomes increasingly clear to Julie that everything she, Randall, and Marielle have been through has taken a huge toll on them, even though they deal with the situation differently.

Marielle ignores it, Julie tries to block everything, and Randall accepts it but doesn’t know what to do next.

The three of them should consider sitting down and talking about the problems. I know this is something people in that town don’t like to do, but it might be worth it to voice your feelings with the only people in your life who might understand what you’re going through.

There’s something to be said for having that kind of connection with others.

Randall is definitely not my favorite, but hearing his vulnerability in his conversation with Marielle was one of the first moments I felt like Randall was more than a loud-mouthed antagonist.

It was sad to hear him say out loud that he was afraid of being alone on that bus every night; Ok! It just was. Marielle showing him this kindness was a really sweet moment between two people who were so hurt and scared.

Randall has a lot going on, and the restless sleep he experienced while recovering nearly consumed him. I expected him to wake up and go after Boyd immediately.

And with that conversation/confrontation approaching, he just looks tired right now. She couldn’t act like Marielle, and she definitely didn’t want to spend another night alone with her thoughts and pain when there was another option.

Kristi’s reaction to Randall joining the clinic should be interesting. But he and Marielle will have to deal with Fatima’s non-pregnancy diagnoses before settling on a new roommate.

People have been theorizing about Fatima and her evil baby all season long, but how many of you guessed that Fatima wasn’t actually pregnant at all? So what does it mean if there is no baby inside?

Nothing here makes sense, right? So no theory is too strange when you think about it. But if we are to believe that there is no baby and she is not pregnant, then we need to take into account that something else is going on in her body.

If the baby does not feel the need for blood and spoiled food, the next logical conclusion would be that it does. His body suddenly needs it to survive.

And if you come to this conclusion, the next logical question is why? Why Fatima? What happened to suddenly change like this?

I don’t think anyone can answer these questions right now, but as much as it pains me to say it, if there are no demons, baby, then maybe simply put, Tabitha is the demon.

We haven’t yet learned why these monsters are there or how they got that way. This place is not like The Walking Dead, and those killed by monsters are resurrected just like them.

As far as we know, these monsters exist and there is no explanation for it. But in the spirit of change, what about Smiley’s death FROM Season 2 Episode 6 Did it cause some kind of chain reaction?

This is the first time we’ve seen a monster get killed, right? And maybe he’s upset the balance in the area, so the town is slowly turning one of them into a monster to replace him.

This theory may be floating around and there may be plenty of facts to disprove it, but it’s not the weirdest theory (and if it is, let me live my dreams, folks!).

Whether this is the case or not, Fatima’s body is changing. And this is not changing for the better. Now that they know there is no baby, what choice do they have but to sit back and see what happens next?

No medical book can tell them what to do next or how to cure anything.

This might be one of the scariest stories of insanely gruesome things we’ve seen on this series.

Also scary? Victor and Henry are traveling in those tunnels.

Henry seems like a good-hearted guy, but I wanted to tell him over and over to shut up! Victor repeatedly told his father to be quiet, but he kept saying things!

But other than that, it was nice to see that Henry wanted to go with Victor, even though he had no idea what he was getting into.

It will be interesting to see how their relationship develops here because there is so much love that never stops. But they’ve been apart for so long, and they’re different people.

You also add in the surreal realities of their current environment, which creates a delicate and complex dynamic that they will have to work with.

You saw it got a little complicated when Victor started talking about the importance of Jasper and his story, but to Henry, all he saw was a ventriloquist dummy.

Victor believes that Jasper is the key to something, but while Henry certainly wants to support his son, he can’t quite understand it.

When I chat with Scott McCord It gave such a great insight into the father/son dynamic, what we might see, and we got a nice taste of the new version of their relationship here.

I would be remiss not to mention the cliffhanger that, although not the jaw-dropping situation we are used to, should lead to many new theories.

It was no coincidence that Tabitha came to Camden, Maine and met Henry. When he discovered everything she did about Miranda, he realized that she had seen the town and made contact with him long before she got there.

Maybe learning about Miranda also helped unlock some of Tabitha’s memories. It’s hard to believe that seeing the drawing at the bar suddenly makes you remember Tabith.

I think our trip to Maine, seeing everything Miranda drew, and making connections helped open Tabitha’s mind the way Victor did by telling stories.

Tabitha now remembers a recurring nightmare about the lakeside area from her childhood. WHAT?!

There is a more important connection between Tabitha and Victor’s family. I’m becoming more and more convinced because they are so interconnected.

So what is this connection? Damn if I know yet.

Unfinished Things

  • Someone needed to hug Donna all season long, and I’m glad Tabitha seized the moment. He carries so much, and like Boyd, he rarely has the time or space to feel it all. Sometimes a little comfort helps reduce that weight.
  • Poor Kenny is putting on a brave face, but I’m glad he chose to do something for himself and go to the Colony House. I don’t know how he adapts there, but a change of scenery is in his best interest right now.

  • Tom, the dead bartender, appears to be telling Jade to get sober and start thinking like the man he was before his life changed forever. He’s not wrong.
  • Elgin remains the purest soul out there. Taking the photos was an admirable attempt to bring some normalcy to the chaos. But the woman in the kimono doesn’t want to leave him! How can it help? Elgin will have to figure out what he wants.
  • Boyd’s face after learning about Fatima’s appetite was priceless. It would take a lot to leave Boyd speechless.
