Charged with mass student stabbing, other student hospitalized

Students at Goodrich Academy in Fitchburg were dismissed Wednesday afternoon following a campus lockdown following a stabbing and the arrest of a student, police said.

A 15-year-old student has been charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, police captain Christopher Garcia told MassLive.

Garcia said police arrived at the school about a reported assault around 1:59 p.m. Officers immediately spotted a student who had been stabbed before he was taken to the hospital. It was learned that the injured student’s life was not in danger.
