Man facing multiple charges for overt activities against minors in Christiansburg

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Va. – A Christiansburg man is facing multiple charges after “explicit conversations” with a minor, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said.

MCSO said deputies responded to a suspicious person trespassing on someone’s property on Oct. 20. Although deputies were not able to find him at the initial location, he was later found on a road near the home.

Authorities identified the suspect as Allen Brown from Easley, South Carolina. Upon investigation, they discovered Brown had engaged in explicit conversations with a minor living in the complainant’s home. He was soon arrested and charged with the following charges:

• Possession of obscene material using minors

• Contributing to the delinquency or abuse of a child

• Obscenity – electronic means for procuring minors for obscene material

• Children’s invitation twice

• Giving inappropriate liberties to a child under fifteen years of age

Brown is currently being held without bail in the West Virginia Regional Jail.

It was also revealed that Brown was involved in similar incidents in Virginia, South Carolina, Washington and Michigan.
