Wendy’s is closing 140 restaurants, but that’s not all

(CNN) – Wendy’s announced that it will close 140 restaurants in the coming months but plans to open the same number of new restaurants in other regions.

The fast food chain says restaurants that have closed their doors are outdated and underperforming.

This round of closures is in addition to the 100 restaurant closures announced in May.

Still, Wendy’s overall numbers aren’t decreasing.

The chain is opening nearly 300 stores with new welcome windows, updated kitchen appliances and stylish interiors.
