Charlotte Hornets They will have a great opportunity over the next few nights as they welcome the world champion Boston Celtics to town. Charlotte came into this first match as a big underdog, as expected. Can they cover it?

3-star game in Celtics (-10.5): In their last three games, the Celtics have won by six, eleven and lost by three in overtime. They’re not that sharp defensively, but tonight gives them an opportunity to clean things up against a Hornets team that’s trying to find some consistency on both ends of the floor. Plus, with this being the front end of a back-to-back, I’m sure the Celtics will want to take care of business tonight so they can potentially get a little lighter on Saturday.

1 star game over: I don’t have much of an opinion on the total, but if there is one I’d be leaning more towards the upside. The Hornets are making progress defensively, but they still have a long way to go. They didn’t look very engaged on that end of the floor last night against a weak Raptors team, so I have a hard time believing they can slow down the Celtics’ potent offensive attack.
