Four thieves booked in Rs 45L electronics store theft case in Gorakhpur

Luckily: Gorakhpur police arrested four suspects and detained a child in connection with a high-profile case on Sunday theft at once electronics store. In the theft that took place on October 21, Rs 45.4 lakh in cash and valuable gold and silver coins were stolen. Police seized Rs 36.61 lakh, one gold coin, two silver coins, two motorcycles and five mobile phones from the accused.
The suspects arrested are: Raj Kumar Singh alias Tinku, Sultan alias Raju, Adarsh ​​Mishra alias Salone and Ramraksha Yadav alias Teju Yadav. While trying to escape, they were captured on the outskirts of the city. Police also detained a juvenile associated with the gang. The gang has around 40 cases registered and Raj Kumar Singh has as many as 14 cases against him.
Police said Raj Kumar was the mastermind of the gang and had carried out similar thefts in Nepal and Bhutan. His criminal record will be checked in Nepal and other states of India.

Gorakhpur SSP Gaurav Grover said a ten-member police team was scanning CCTV cameras for nearly a week. The suspects were identified and later arrested upon tip-off. Grover said initial investigations revealed that the teenage suspect, an employee of the store, provided critical information about the store’s cash flow, which helped the gang plan the robbery.
Additional Head Office, Gorakhpur District, KS Pratap, announced a reward of 1 lakh rupees to the police team that solved the case.
