One dead in motorcycle crash southeast of Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) – A motorcyclist died in a crash southeast of Colorado Springs.

Police said they responded to the crash shortly after Sunday afternoon. another fatal accident Incident involving a motorcycle in the Garden of the Gods. They said they had to call investigators here to investigate another crash reported at Carmel Drive and Monterey Road.

As police began investigating, they told 11 News the driver was dead and another vehicle was involved in the crash. They also said that the motorcyclist was found lying on the street and died at the scene.

They also said they believed speed was a factor in the crash, which police said was based on eyewitness accounts.

They asked the public to stay away from the area during the work.
