Mangaluru: Continuing the crackdown on narcotics trade, police officials arrested two persons allegedly involved in dealing in MDMA (Crystal) near Permude Panchayat Cross, about 15 km from Mangaluru.

The suspects, Umar Farooq (38) of Jokatte and Mohammad Abdul Junaid (34) of Jarinagar of Bajpe, were nabbed in an operation led by Bajpe Station PSI Revanasiddappa and his team.

Police seized 9.11 grams of MDMA worth Rs 50,000, two mobile phones and a motorcycle.

The suspects were referred to the courthouse.
