Yudha Arfandi Sentenced to 20 Years in Prison for the Death of Actress Tamara Tyasmara and DJ Angger Dimas’ Son Dante

Jakarta. The East Jakarta District Court sentenced Yudha Arfandi to 20 years in prison for the intentional murder of Raden Andante “Dante” Khalif Pramudityo, the 6-year-old son of actress Tamara Tyasmara and her ex-husband DJ Angger Dimas.

The court, led by Judge Immanuel Tarigan and accompanied by judges Heru Kuncoro and Cita Cahyaningtyas, found Tamara’s former partner Yudha guilty of deliberately causing Dante’s death. “The court agrees with the prosecution that this was a premeditated murder. However, after the vote, we deemed 20 years appropriate,” Tarigan said in a statement on Monday. he said.

Tamara expressed her disappointment with the decision, stating that the 20-year sentence did not meet the prosecution’s initial request for the death penalty. “No sentence – whether 20 years, life, or death – will never bring Dante back,” he told reporters outside the East Jakarta District Court on Monday.

According to the prosecution, Yudha planned Dante’s murder, even researching CCTV locations at the scene online before the incident on January 27, 2024. Yudha later confessed to submerging Dante in a swimming pool, claiming it was breathing training. The incident occurred in Pondok Kelapa, East Jakarta, while Tamara was filming nearby.

Suspicions about Dante’s death were first raised by his father, Angger Dimas, an international DJ known for his collaborations with artists such as Steve Aoki and Diplo. Angger rescinded his initial denial of an autopsy, leading to further investigation.

The legal process will continue as Yudha plans to appeal. “This is just the beginning of a long journey,” he said.
